At QBC, we are a family of believers in Jesus Christ and we want to warmly welcome you!
We hold regular services on Sunday mornings at 9:30am, followed coffee and fellowship. Sunday School for children and adults begins at 11:15 am.
Nursery for infant-2 years and children’s church for ages 3-7 are available during the service. Your children are also welcome to stay in the service with you.
On the first two Sundays of the month, we have a potluck meal at noon for whoever would like to stay for lunch. Please join us for this fun and relaxed time of fellowship. There is always plenty of food!
We believe that worship begins with an inner treasuring of Christ. Our services include music, times of prayer, the reading of God’s Word, and expository preaching. On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate the Lord’s Supper.
Our services emphasize worship, Scripture, and prayer, with a clear focus on biblical doctrine and its application to our daily lives.
Born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada,
Pastor Ivan earned a degree in engineering from Dalhousie University (Halifax, N.S.) He worked in this field for a number of years and continues to be a member in good standing of the Association of
Professional Engineers and Geoscientists
of the Province of Saskatchewan, Canada.
Sensing a call from God to serve in full-time ministry, Pastor Ivan earned a Master of Divinity degree from Bethel Theological Seminary (St. Paul, MN). He has since completed a Doctor of Ministry degree from Covenant Theological Seminary (St. Louis, MO) and a certificate in Biblical Counseling from The Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (USA). He is an ordained minister in the Baptist General Conference, Converge.
Pastor Ivan and his wife, Kate, have a married son and grandson in Colorado and a daughter who lives in Canada. Pastor Ivan enjoys reading historical theology, especially the Puritans, and studying mathematics.
Because of the special relationship that QBC has with the Christian church in northern Nigeria, Pastor Ivan wears the traditional clothing of the Hausa people on Easter Sunday.
Pastor Joel Ostrom grew up at QBC. After a time away, he returned to the Brook Park area and serves as our associate pastor of prayer and devotion.
He regularly leads prayer and music, teaches, and preaches. Pastor Joel and his family serve in many areas within the church. Joel and Michelle are blessed to be the parents of four daughters, one son, and a son in law, as well as the grandparents of two.
Joel works full time as a master woodworker and loves to study.
