AWANA

AWANA meets weekly on Wednesday evenings during the school year and is divided into clubs based on age. Our goal is to introduce your children to Jesus Christ while having fun!

 

Chapel time provides an opportunity to sing and learn about how God’s Word can be applied to our lives. During handbook time, children can learn and recite Bible verses, then earn special awards and recognition for their work. Playing games together is an exciting way to build friendships and have fun!

Cubbies

3-5 year olds

At group time each week, Cubbies learn about God, the greatness of His love and His Word, and about Jesus Christ, the promised Savior, through stories, puppets, and flannel board. We play games and enjoy other activities. Parents are welcome to stay until their child is comfortable.

Sparks

K - 2nd grade

There are 3 Sparks handbooks, one for each year. Your child will look at the attributes of God and see how God actively reveals Himself through the Bible. Your child will look at the Bible to see how God has planned from the beginning to send Jesus to be our Redeemer and Savior.

Truth & Training

3rd-6th grade

We will go through four handbooks, one for each year. Some of the topics that are uncovered include: Why did God give us the Bible? Who is God? Who is Jesus? Why does it matter? How does God want me to live my life?

Leaders in Training

7th Grade & Older

If your child is 7th grade or older, they can join our youth group to continue learning about God and His Word. Class is every Wednesday night that AWANA is held. LITs help the younger AWANA kids for the first half hour, then meet separately from 7:00pm-8:00pm. The youth group is focused on doctrine, fellowship, and building relationships with God and each other through Bible study and activities.

To reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.

Join us on Wednesday nights at 6:20 during the school year to register! You are welcome to check out facebook page or contact our administrative assistant to verify that we are meeting.

Each year we have a number of theme nights where children can do extra fun activities! These include pajama night, crazy hair night, glow night, animal night, and more. At the beginning of the year, we will provide a schedule of planned special events and theme nights.

We meet Wednesdays during the school year from approximately mid-September to early May, starting at 6:20 pm. Occasionally we cancel due to other church events or inclement weather, so be sure to check our facebook page for cancelations.

Annual dues are $20 per clubber, which includes books, uniforms, and other supplies. Each family can pay it all in full at the beginning of the year or half in September and half in January. We also offer scholarships if finances are a hindrance to joining.

The AWANA Grand Prix is often the highlight of the year! Clubbers have the option to participate in a pinewood car race where they design and create their own car, and then race against other clubbers. Families and friends are encouraged to come and join in on the fun! We usually have this on a Saturday in the spring and serve lunch.
